07:17 Boy, I got up later than I wanted today. That seems to be my Saturday MO lately. #

08:08 My laziness has gotten the better of me again. Kids are all up, now it's time to get them fed because my wife is in bed. Now I can't run. #

08:14 I'm bad. I just sent my 4-year-old to go "love on mom", and when she got back, I sent the 3-year-old to do the same. #

08:56 4 year old: "There's nothing to do!!!" Me: "You could clean your room." 4 year old: "NOOOOO!" #

09:59 Wow. I just stepped out the door and it's very windy and chilly. Today's still just 13 miles, I'm thinking treadmill. #

10:02 Look at that, wind's at 21mph #

11:23 Obviously it's not even going to happen on the treadmill. Kids just cannot be around when I'm trying. Today SUCKS. Getting dressed. #

18:01 Anyone interested in Directivo's? I have two of them to get rid of. #

20:17 Hey, the weather's supposed to clear up tomorrow afternoon and be partly cloudy with 5mph winds! I'm going to take the gamble. #

Tempo Run - 9 miles

Another scheduled tempo run. The schedule goal was 10k pace + 40 seconds, or 8:47/mi for me. I didn't come close. I think at this point, I can't worry about pace anymore and should just work on getting in my miles and improving as much as I can. I still have 6 1/2 weeks until The Ave, and that's what training is for, right?

Anyway, it was also quite warm. I wanted to go out around 10:30, but wasn't able to get out until almost noon. By the time I was done, it was almost 70 degrees! I'm just not acclimated to the warmer weather yet, my forehead was sweating like crazy, sweat getting into my eyes. Still, it was a beautiful day.
