With that in mind, I set out to stay on task and not give up, as I've done so many times recently. The weather was great, the traffic was cooperative, but most importantly, I had a run to finish. It was a tempo run, with a 1-mile warmup, 4 tempo miles in the middle, and a 1-mile cooldown.
For the first time in I don't know how long, I finished 6 miles in under an hour.

Notice anything in peculiar? I certainly did while running it: the miles between 2 and 5 were tempo miles, and I stayed on pace for the first time since starting this training cycle!

I'm getting back to where I was last year, and it's an exciting time. Now the goal is to improve without injuring myself yet again.
