At 5:15, I went to the gym for circuit training. This is the 2nd one I've taken, and like the first it was all women except for me. What I've been enjoying about the classes is the little bit of instruction on form that I've been lacking in the 3+ years I've been working out.
The class was about 45 minutes long, and it's obvious I need to work on my plank. To quote the instructor: "If I were to build my house with that plank, it'd collapse!" At least I'm working on it. 218 calories burned.
Then at lunch, since today wasn't my weight workout day, I ran 5 miles. 5.4 miles to be exact, and I decided to push it a little bit. It was tough, and by mile 5, I was spent.

This is where it gets interesting. When I did Body Pump on Monday, it was mentioned that for it to be effective, you should do it 2 to 3 times a week. There isn't another early morning Body Pump class, but there's an evening class that happens to be on Wednesdays. Today is Wednesday.
Today's class was also an hour long, and included more bicep exercises. I also upped the weight from Monday quite a bit, and WOW, what a difference. I'm pretty sore, I'm bound to be mighty sore in the morning!
So with the hour this evening, that added another 420 calories burned for the day. Altogether, that's 1255 calories burned.
The hope, of course, is that I'll burn more fat and become more fit. Only time will tell for that one.
