5 Miles

After the way I felt yesterday evening, I decided to take the 5 miles slowly this morning. My plan was to get out the door at 5:30 but ended up starting at 6.

Steve Speirs from suggested that because of my soreness I should try 30-second walk breaks every mile, so that's what I did. And you know, it did make a difference, although my legs still felt pretty heavy.

Mile 1: 9:48
Mile 2: 9:55
Mile 3: 9:58
Mile 4: 9:51
Mile 5: 10:15
.05 mi: 00:30

While the overall pace was about the same, I was a lot more consistent today, and I think I felt better after it was over. All day though, my quads were pretty sore. Immediately following the run, I helped some friends move.

Then the unspeakable happened: I simultaneously destroyed & lost my Treo 755p! I ended up leaving it on the car hood before driving away. I didn't discover this until I was across town. When I got back, I should have found a smashed Treo, but instead I didn't find a thing. So it either disintegrated, or someone took it. Either way, I have no phone.

We'll see how I survive until i can get a replacement. Still sore at the moment, but not as bad as earlier today.
