Long Run - ~13 miles

This morning's long run was scheduled to be 11 miles. Early in the week, I'd talked to Tony Bevis about meeting up during long runs to have a running partner at least part of the way. With his run requirements and starting point, my distance would have ended up being 14 miles.

The idea was to run to the 5th Street Bridge, meet there, then run to 2 miles beyond the 10th Street Bridge. I told Tony that if I didn't see him when I arrived at the 5th, I'd run on the levee towards his starting point.

I never did see Tony, but I got to run in an area I not only had never run before, but never knew existed. That was kind of neat, and on the way back, didn't see Tony, so I just ran the rest of the way home, making 12.9 miles total.
