Ten Mile Long Run

Ten miles! I was scheduled for 12, but seeing as next weekend is the Kaiser Half Marathon, and I'm scheduled for 10 next week, I figured I'd swap the two. I also got Tony Bevis to join me (or did I join him) which was nice. It's always nice to have a running partner, definitely makes the time go by faster.

I started where he usually runs from, making along both levees, heading towards the 5th Street Bridge, across it, then north on the opposite levee. At 5 miles, we doubled back.

I'm sure it's because of the injuries I've had, but I feel totally out of shape. I was exhausted at 5 miles, and while a 1/4-mile walk break helped, I was still hurting. I know there's plenty of gains to be had over the next few months, but I'm not in near the shape I was this time last year.
