18 Mile Long Run + Running Vlog!

It's the farthest I've ever run, and I decided to just take it easy and not stress about it. I did much better during the course of the run in staying fresh, but it sort of fell apart in the end. While I was trying to keep myself fueled up, I think I failed there as well, because I was starving at the end, and was having trouble running. Add to that the headache that kicked in around mile 14, and running out of water at mile 15, and it wasn't the greatest run I ever did. I did a lot of walking at the end.

A couple of times I stopped for a restroom break. I almost peed my pants at Mile 5 and had to stop at McDonald's. Another time I stopped to use the restroom again because I knew it'd be inconvenient if I didn't, and ended up going more than I anticipated.

Either way, I got my miles in. It was fun. Towards the end of the run, I ran by two Sheriffs. One said to me, "Keep going, only another 20 to go!" I said, "I'm at Mile 18 now," to which he responded, "That's... IN... SANE."

It's on.

The first time running a new distance is always the toughest. Still, you did a great job finishing and I'm sure you learned a lot from it.
