He Rises From the Dead - and VLOGS!

Man, I've been terrible. Actually I've been terribly busy. I haven't blogged in a while, and have been annoying everyone who's been following my blog with my endless tweets, a poor substitute for a real blog entry. What to do, what to do?

I know! I'll make a new running vlog! No more using the Treo for these either, I picked up a Flip Video camera. The quality difference is huge, but it is an older model. Woot.com had a great deal, 79 bucks for the 1-hour model. So now I have a new camera for my vlogs, and will be able to bring it with me for the marathon in May!

Ah yes, The Ave. Tomorrow will mark the end of the week's runs, meaning there's just a little over 5 weeks left.

To put it succinctly, I've had a few setbacks. I had a recurrence of my leg pain, but I've been dealing with it. I cut back on my intervals this week, instead of doing 3x1600 I did 5x400. Thursday's 6-miler seemed really bad at the time, but as you can see from the video it wasn't near as bad as I thought. It's interesting what perception can be!

Tomorrow morning will be the longest run I've ever done, at 18 miles. I drove to the 10-mile mark tonight and cached some water. I'm not going to push it too much, I figure at this point finishing the 18 is better than trying to push my pace and drop off before the end.

I'll make a real blog entry tomorrow. Now I'm off to bed. See you tomorrow.
