It went really well, too, I'm quite pleased. My goal was race pace for 8 miles, which I think if it weren't for the wind, I would have done. Race pace going by the FIRST plan is 8:52/mi, my goal is at very least 9:10 in order to make a 4-hour race. Today's average pace was 9:17/mi.

Splits
Mile 1: 9:01.45
Mile 2: 8:48.52
Mile 3: 8:46.70
Mile 4: 9:10.55
Mile 5: 9:37.79
Mile 6: 9:28.31
Mile 7: 9:50.14
Mile 8: 9:36.97
8 miles, 9:17 min/mi average, 955 calories burned
And with that, there's exactly one week until the marathon. Two more short midweek runs (sprints on Tuesday, 3 miles @ marathon pace Thursday), and that's it! Tuesday night I pick up my sister at the airport. It's all coming together, a very exciting time.
Another thing. As of right now, I'm off caffeine until after the marathon. GULP! RIP Diet Dew. For the time being, anyway.

Onto race week!
